Salesforce Spring ’23 Release Dates & Info 

Salesforce’s Spring 2023 release is right around the corner—time to get ready!  Here are key dates to be aware of leading into the upcoming release: 

  • Pre-Release Org Sign Up (12/15/22) – get a sneak preview of Spring ‘23 functionality prior to Sandbox releases  
  • Spring ’23 Release Notes (12/21/22) – Release notes are available at help.salesforce.com 
  • Sandbox Cut Off Date (1/5/23) – any Sandboxes refreshed after this date will revert to the current (Winter ‘23) version 
  • Spring ‘23 Sandbox Preview (1/6/23) – All sandboxes are updated to Spring ‘23 release – visit here for recent update.
  • Release Site (1/6/23) – highlights the top release features across all clouds. Release-in-a-Box presentation found here as well. 
  • Release Badge Available on Trailhead (1/6/23) – get up to speed on the latest features in each Cloud 
  • Review the Release Overview Deck (ROD) and Features Matrix (1/10/23) – use the deck to train your users on the top features for this release. Use the matrix to plan your roadmap based on future releases 
  • Release Readiness Live (1/20/23) – join the Developer and/or Admin Preview webinars to learn about key features 
  • Release Readiness Live (1/23-27/23) – the product management team will host a series of webinars on the new features for each Cloud 
  • Spring ’23 Release Weekends  
    • January 13, 2023 
    • February 3, 2023 
    • February 10, 2023

Release Readiness 

Your release date for Spring ’23 depends on your instance of Salesforce.  

  • If you already know the instance your production org is located on, you can head over to Salesforce Trust, click on your instance name, and hit “Maintenance.” This will show you the date of the Salesforce Spring ’23 release hitting your org. 
  • If you don’t know your instance, the quickest way to find out is to head to “company information” within “Setup” in your Salesforce. If you want to know more about Salesforce instances, check out our comprehensive post about how to find yours.
